Religious Life
Christians make up less than 2 percent of the population in Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank. Although a vulnerable minority, these Christians are leaders in the region’s support of the vulnerable and the marginalized. Although exposed to ideological and violent conflict, these Christians, who descend from the time of the apostles, remain passionate examples of Jesus’ call to love one another, and to care for the least among us.
Knights and dames are tasked with ensuring the living stones of the church remain a viable and dynamic community of faith.
The Teatum Fund for Priestly Formation
The Teatum Fund for Priestly Formation provides clergy and men in seminary formation for the dioceses in the Eastern Lieutenancy, with an opportunity to encounter our Lord Jesus in the lands made holy by his birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension. Funds drawn will also support an immersive experience with the living stones of the Holy Land, those men and women who call it home.
